How you will win over $100 on Amazon Prime Day

How you will win over $100 on Amazon Prime Day: Amazon Prime Day is promising double-digit discounts ahead of the holidays on thousands of pieces. Here’s how a credit card sign-up incentive can be won when you shop.

At midnight (3 a.m. ET), Amazon Prime Day kicks off, but you already have time to set up sale reminders and add things to your wish list. And you can consider which credit card you plan to use at checkout if you really want to optimise your savings.

You will receive up to 5 per cent cash back and/or a generous welcome package worth $100 to $1,000 for choosing the correct card. If you have recently signed up for a credit card that has a bonus and plans to buy on Prime Day, the transactions you make will go into fulfilling the conditions for purchasing.

It’s still not too late to register for a new card that offers an instant card number, like the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card, that you can use right away on Prime Day.

On Amazon Prime Day, CNBC Pick ratings three ways you can save much more:

  • Apply at checkout for an Amazon credit card
  • Request an instant credit card
  • Using a freshly opened card with incentives

On Amazon Prime Day, how to win a bonus worth over $100

  1. Apply at checkout for the Amazon Prime credit card
Applications for the Amazon Prime Loyalty Visa Signature Card at checkout are the best way to save $100. You have the option to apply before paying and you can use the card directly if you are accepted and receive 5 % cashback on Plus, upon acceptance, you can receive a $100 gift card, which will automatically cover your expenses on Prime Day. In order to obtain a gift card, there is no minimum purchase limit.
  1. Request an instant credit card
Try opening a new card that gives both a free bonus and an instant card number if you don’t want an Amazon co-branded card. Choosing a card that allows you access after clearance to a temporary card number is important for Prime Day when you won’t have time to wait for your physical card to come in the mail.
  1. Using a freshly opened card with incentives
You could have opened a loyalty card with a welcome bonus recently and Prime Day will help you get closer to earning cash back or points for the bonus.

Since welcome bonus deals normally expire within three months of the launch of the account, consider only cards that were opened after mid-July 2020. To learn how much money you need to pay to receive the incentive, then review the conditions associated with the incentive deal, primarily the minimum spending criteria. You will subtract those transactions from the mandate and determine how much more you need to pay if you’ve already paid on the card.

For example, after you spend $500 on transactions in the first three months of account opening, the Chase Freedom FlexSM gives $200 cash back. You will need to pay $150 more to fulfil the $500 threshold to receive the $200 incentive if you opened the Flex card last month and have spent $350 on the card already. During Prime Day, investing $150 can be within control,

How do you take advantage of the deals?

Well, for one, you’ll need an Amazon Prime account, and if you don’t have one, it’s not too late to sign up. If you’re new to the service, you can score a 30-day free trial, or reactivate your subscription for $12.99 a month. You’ll not only get access to the Prime Day deals, but you’ll also get fast two-day shipping on select items and access to services like Prime Video and Prime Music.

And don’t forget to bookmark Amazon’s deal page. Prime Day deals start at 12 a.m. PT (3 a.m. ET) on Tuesday, but you don’t necessarily have to wait until then to start saving; Amazon has already kicked off the sale with some early Prime Day deals.

Prime Day would be a perfect day to make a buy, whether you are shopping for another Alexa-enabled smart speaker, a tablet for kids or grandkids, or even a new doorbell.

Amazon gadgets, including Echo smart speakers and displays, and Ring, Kindle, Wink, Fire TV and Fire HD goods, will all see some steep discounts, as expected.

That also refers to the newly revamped Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Dot with Clock and Echo Dot Kids Version, which were just unveiled at Amazon’s fall 2020 launch last month. When you buy two with the code ECHO2PK, you can still save $30 on the redesigned Echo. Pair them together for a stereo audio experience until they arrive.

We still hope to see promotions on the spherical Echo Dots, along with the Echo Display 10. It’s a complete overhaul of the flagship smart screen from Amazon that adds a motor to allow the screen to turn to face you.

Discounts can also be seen on Fire TV Editions in a range of sizes.
